Game names and scorelines in captions
Esportscribe follows the spelling in each game’s own data: apostrophes (Kai’Sa, K’Sante, Cho’Gath), hyphens (Anti-Mage, M4A1-S), slashes (KAY/O), dots (D.Va, Gen.G) and diacritics (Lúcio, Torbjörn) are kept. Player handles keep their stylised casing.

Rules the packs follow
- Scorelines: two small numbers next to a score cue (up, lead, series, it’s, at halftime) become 13–11 with an en dash. “Two dogs and three cats” stays words.
- Formats: 1v1, 1v3, 5v5, best of three, best of five, overtime, map point.
- Names that are ordinary English words (Train, Cache, Split, Tracer, Vitality) change only when another recognised game token sits within five words, or the transcript already capitalised them mid-sentence.
- Acronyms are letters: GG, MVP, DPS, CC, AoE, KDA, LCK, VCT, IEM, OWCS. Spoken letters (“l c k”) are joined.
- Team names expand to the form used on broadcasts: T1, Gen.G, G2 Esports, NAVI, Team Vitality, Paper Rex, San Francisco Shock.
